When the candidates knock on your door for your vote in November, ask him or her how  they stand on immigration and if they will support E-Verify when it comes up in next year's session. If they tell you it's the Federal Governments job and not the state's to enforce the laws, well that's all you need to know because that means they are not in support of enforcing immigration laws.

From now until November take the time to research the candidates in your area.  You can go to http://www.rilin.state.ri.us/Genmenu/ and look up your current Representative or Senator. You can look up a bill, a sponsor or the House and Senate Journals to see how each person voted.
