WPRO-AM announces next “WPRO Debate Series” with “Green Light on Green Cards”
East Providence, RI –
On June 26, 2013 from 12pm to 1pm at the Providence Marriott WPRO-AM will host the second event of the year long “Debate Series” focusing on important local issues. “Green Light on Green Cards,” moderated by WPRO’s Tara Granahan, features a panel of experts from each side of the illegal immigration issue. The discussion will be streamed live on-line at 630wpro.com and is the center piece of a WPRO Special Report scheduled to air during the WPRO Morning News with Gene Valicenti the week of July 1st.
A panel including prominent Rhode Island experts has been assembled to provide insight, input and feedback on the illegal immigration issues in Rhode Island. Panelists scheduled to appear include:
Roberto Gonzalez, Immigration Attorney with over two decades of experience in the field. Gonzalez Law Offices are located in East Providence, RI.
David Borts, Immigration Attorney with thirty-two years experience in the field. David Borts’ Law Offices are located in Pawtucket, RI.
Terry Gorman, president of Rhode Islanders for Immigration Law Enforcement. The R.I.I.L.E is a non-profit organization created by a group of Rhode Island citizens concerned with the negative impact Illegal Immigration is having on the State and Nation.
State Rep. Peter Palumbo, served on the Rhode Island State House of Representatives since 1995.
Rev. Don Anderson, the Executive Minister for the Rhode Island State Council of Churches and Commissioner of the Rhode Island Commission on Prejudice and Bias.
The debate will address the issues that have emerged from illegal immigration including; licenses for illegal immigrants, how immigration effects the Rhode Island economy, and potential solutions moving forward.
